Spooky & Sweet Halloween Pumpkin Cupcakes

Or spooooky?

As far as costumes go, I always pick sweet. I guess its because of my life long fear of scary movies, that has made me steer clear of all the zombie bride, grim reaper- type costumes.
I’m a big scared-y cat, really I am. I looked in my closet each night to make sure there were no monsters until I was about 15, no kidding.

Anyways, I wanted to do a “spooky” halloween cupcake as well as a “sweet” halloween cupcake so you all could pick whichever suites your Halloween mood.

These are my favorite, super moist Red Velvet Cupcakes topped with Vanilla Buttercream.

I simply used Wilton’s Tip 5 for the vines on the pumpkin and Tip 69 for the leaves.

The pumpkin gumballs are compliments of my Mother. She found those at a Dollar Store while she and my father I were vacationing in North Carolina. Not sure how or why they ended up in the Dollar Store, but it certainly benefited me.

Happy Hallow’s Eve!

Yep, We hang out at weird places when we go exploring on our vacations. Cupcakes look great. I knew you’d do something fun with the gum balls. PS I didn’t know you looked in the closet each night!
